Beginning October 1, 2020, the PART Orange Line will be detoured due to construction on King Street between Manatawny and Route 100. This construction is expected to last for two years. The Orange Line will travel west on High Street, right onto Berks Street, right onto W. King Street, and then cross over Rt. 100 to Shoemaker Rd. Returning from Gilbertsville, the Orange Line will make a left onto Shoemaker Road when departing Wal-Mart, left onto Glasgow Street, left onto Berks Street, left onto High Street, and travel east to the Transportation Center. Pottstown Area Rapid Transit (PART) is pleased to announce that new routes will be in effect beginning January 2, 2020. PART service changes will simplify bus routes, maximize service, and add new destinations including Boyertown and Gilbertsville.
PART contracted with Michael Baker International to complete a Transit Development Plan which included evaluating the existing service and identifying opportunities for streamlining service to increase ridership and efficiency and to better connect riders to regional services and destinations. Public outreach was conducted in accordance with PART’s Title VI Policy and input was included in the service changes.

In order to better serve the community, the Borough of Pottstown changed its office hours starting June 30, 2014. If you are in need of a bus pass, please visit Borough Hall between the hours of 7:30am and 4:00pm.
PART Full Fare, Half Fare, and Multi-Ride Passes are available for purchase in the Finance Department of Pottstown Borough Hall, 100 E. High Street. Passes are valid for 10 rides. Full Fare passes are $17.00. Half Fare passes are $8.50. A Reduced Transit Fare card must be presented to purchase the Half Fare pass. Multi-Ride Passes must be presented to the bus driver and will be retained upon use of the 10th ride. PART is not responsible for any lost or stolen passes. PART is now charging for replacement reduced fare and senior citizen bus passes. The first replacement card will be issued at a cost of $5.00. Any additional replacement cards will cost $25.00

Two bus stops have been added to the East End Loop via North End route. After the bus stops at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, the bus will pick up passengers at Burger King on High Street, and the Nagle Center on Moser Road. These stops will replace the stop in front of Dunkin Donuts on High Street. The bus will continue on the route to Hillside Apartments and Home Depot.
